		<description>Thanks WM!  I think you&#039;re right and from what I&#039;ve read, so do a lot of veteran martial artists and taijiquan practitioners.
With so many MA &quot;goodies&quot; seemingly available these days, the grass often looks greener on the other side of the fence.  But having waited until my mid-40&#039;s to even begin working towards a genuine style, I do feel that I&#039;d better follow Chen precepts (even if I look into other sources a bit for anything that might support Chen).

I&#039;m reluctant to even take a Yang style class locally - not because I wouldn&#039;t learn something, but for the reason you mention. I&#039;m trying to stick to the 56 Forms which are, of course, standardized. If I depart from those standards of execution at this point in time I&#039;ll be sabotaging several years of work already put in. The Wu Dong materials keep me motivated to keep going on this route.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been working on some remedial training for my &quot;6/4 - left&quot; and hope to post a followup about making specific progress.</description>
